Madre de agua Tricantera gigantea or trichanthera gigantea is used as
natural feeds for hogs, cattle and other ruminants. Leaves are
served fresh and requires no processing. It is highly nutritious
and be given to animals along with commercial feeds. Some animal
raisers who have enough supply feeds their flock solely with madre de
agua and other natural feeds and don't spend on commercial feeds.
It is said that 6 kilos of madre de agua leaves is equivalent to 1 kilo of commercial
feeds.
It is very easy to grow and propagate by means of cuttings and thrives
well to the local environment.
Highly recommended for animal raisers to save on commercial feeds.
